CALL FOR PANEL PROPOSALS
The Asociacion de Historia Actual, (AHA), the Grupo de Estudios de Historia Actual (GEHA), Universidad de Cádiz, and the Centre de Recherches et ibériques Ibero – Américaines (CRIIA, EA369) from the Université Paris Ouest- Nanterre, in coordination with  the GRPesq / CNPq Intelectuais e no Mundo Iberoamericano (Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro) and the CEIS -20 (Universidade de Coimbra), are pleased to invite all interested parties to submit proposals for thematic panels for the X. Conference Tradition and Modernity in the Ibero-American World, from the 18th Century to the Present Time, to be held in Cadiz from 2 to 5 September 2014.
This conference will take place at the same time at we hold the celebration of our XIV International Congress Our Collective Legacy; its main line of research focuses on the discussion of the process of modernization in the political, social, economic and cultural fields of Ibero-America from the 18th century to the present time.

After due review process, by January 30, 2014the conference coordinators will communicate their final decision. At that time, the definitive list of panels will be available. The coordinators have set March 15, 2014, as the final deadline for paper proposals. 
 
Panel coordinators will be responsible for organizing their panels and for selecting papers.  Registration for the Congress is done through the Asociacion de Historia Actual (AHA), and it includes a one year membership in the Association in addition to a free subscription for the Revista de Historia Actual during the same period.

Deadlines for dues and prices:

Before 15 June, 2014: 90 euros
After 15 June, 2014: 120 euros
